- Take part in weekend rides around Leeds and further afield, for all abilities. You could even train to become a ride leader!
- Make sure decision-makers hear and understand about cycling.
- Link with partner organisations including Cycling UK, Sustrans, Cyclenation and local groups.
- Meet up and socialise with other people who cycle, or want to cycle. You could help less confident riders, or pick up tips from experienced cyclists.
- Tell your Councillors and MPs how they can make cycling a natural choice for people like you, in and around Leeds.

Visit our membership joining page, complete the form then pay us. If you have any questions please contact our Membership Secretary (membership <at> leedscyclingcampaign.co.uk). Once you have paid, please allow up to 14 days to receive your membership pack.
What does it cost?
On 1 January 2024 Leeds Cycling Campaign further simplified its membership structure. There is now only one type of membership for an adult person, whether they are single or part of a family or couple. You can join at any time during the year and your membership fee will cover you for 12 months following receipt of your payment. You can join as a single or a couple depending on which option suits you the best. The current rates are:
- Individual membership = £8 per year
- Two waged adults at the same address = £16 per year
- Children = Free

We spend the money on campaigning. It buys publicity banners, stalls at bike shows, and affiliation to national organisations such as Cycling UK - giving us the insurance we need to lead bike rides. We keep proper accounts and aim to be transparent on how we spend your money.
Cycling UK Affiliate Membership information
Cycling UK’s special “affiliated individual membership” rate was withdrawn on 1st November 2023. This was a special scheme whereby members of affiliated groups such as Leeds Cycling Campaign were entitled to join Cycling UK at a reduced rate. Most recently this rate was £33.00, compared to the full adult rate of about £50.00. Unfortunately therefore, we can no longer offer this as one our own membership benefits.
Cycling UK advise that they are changing existing affiliated memberships into individual memberships and to enable this will offer a transitional 20% discount off the individual membership price. Further details can be found here:

Despite the above the Campaign remains an affiliated member group of Cycling UK and will continue to benefit from the Organisers’ Liability Insurance that is provided as part of this.
