A short but hilly ride through Bradford and Queensbury stopping in Halifax (19 miles) at the Shay cafe. Returning through Brighouse and Tong.
Also to view entrances to two disused railway tunnels that it is hoped will be reopened for walkers and cyclists. That is the Pudsey Greenside tunnel that runs for over a third of a mile west towards Tyersal and the Queensbury tunnel which runs for 1.4 miles under Queensbury to be part of a route between Bradford and Halifax.
This ride originally proposed back in February but cancelled due to icy conditions.
There is a planning application to fill in the area in the front of the Greenside tunnel for housing which will prevent the tunnel being opened up. You can put in an objection up to 13 November. See this link
