Leeds Cycling Consultation Forum is this Wednesday, 10th July, 6.00pm for a 6.15pm start. The meeting will close no later than 8:45pm and we usually go to the pub afterwards!
The meeting is held in the Civic Hall, Leeds - the white building on Millennium Square, with the golden owls. There is some cycle parking outside, and we can also bring bikes into the building and leave them in the downstairs corridor on the left.
The Cycling Consultation Meeting is a forum for discussion of matters related to cycling in Leeds. It is open to interested members of the public and is attended by elected members and officers of Leeds City Council.
The agenda includes:
West Yorkshire Cycling Prospectus – Alison Pilling (Metro) will be updating members on the development of the Prospectus. A consultation event will be held at 6.30pm pm Wednesday 17th July to which delegates from the Forum are requested. The prospectus is a daughter document to the Local Transport Plan and is intended to be aligned with the Leeds and other districts’ Cycling Strategies.
New Generation Transport (NGT - trolleybus) The NGT design team will attend the meeting and will be highlighting recent changes to designs and describe how further feedback can be given.
Tour de France – An update will be given on arrangements for Le Tour.
Cycle City Ambition Grant bid – If a decision has been made on the bid discussion will take place on how it will be progressed.
Leeds Core Cycle Network consultation. – Mark Robinson will be describing the process for consultation on a revised LCCN. The A64 Corridor will be the next route progressed (even if the CCAG bid fails) and it is proposed that this is used as a test for creating a slicker consultation process.
Leeds Cycle Strategy – Tim Parry will be giving an update on development of the Strategy.
