Long Ride to Anglers Country Park 61 miles

Note later start time than usual.

Using the first section of the new ELOR (note - not yet opened officially but should be no problem) then taking quieter estate roads down to Thorpe Park joining the off road route to Garforth. Then another off-road to Castleford for the first stop at Queens Mill (16 miles).

Then nice tracks and quiet roads to Altofts to pick up the Wheel of Wakefield passing the Anglers Country Park at 30 miles. Food a bit basic. Continuing on the WOW passing Pugneys lake and then meeting the Transpennine route 67 through to Leeds. Possibility of a stop at Rivers Meet in Methley at 50 miles.

Note Altofts is only 2-3 miles from Stanley Ferry so the possibility of cutting out about 22 miles. Quite a large proportion off road but all surfaces moderate to good.

Total 61 miles to Roundhay Park.
