Barry will lead today's ride, he gave the following description:
"First, westwards through the wonders on Wortley, going towards Halifax to the untried Lightcliffe Tea Rooms http://www.lightcliffetearooms.com/ (14 miles) then swinging East with a bit of up and down to Wakefield (33 miles). The Moccha Pizzeria and internet cafe on Kirkgate for lunch. Then directly North back to Leeds making 45 miles in all."
If you have any queries contact longrides[at]leedscyclingcampaign.co.uk.
This Sunday's ride will be to the Squires Cafe near Sherburn in Elmet. They are welcoming to cyclists as well as motorcyclists and provide a large menu to replenish your energy.
Ride starts at 9.00am at the City Square, secondary meeting point at 9.30am at Roundhay Park.
John will lead a long (50 mile) ride to York. Probably there will be a mid-morning cafe stop and then later a lunch stop, but e-mail us (longrides[at]leedscyclingcampaign.co.uk) to confirm if you wish.
If you have not cycled with this group before you will be made very welcome! No 'elite' cycling, bikes or clothing required! If you have a normal bike and can cycle reasonably steadily you should be fine. It's reasonably flat going to York.
Start - 9.00am, Leeds City Square. Second meeting point - Crossgates (by the Library/'gates' roundabout) at 9.30am.
