Email from Les Webb:
Dear Forum Member
I attach the agenda for the first meeting of the Northern Cycle-Rail Forum (formerly the Northern Rail Cycle Forum) to be held at the National Cycling Centre in Manchester on 7 September.
The meeting promises to be a lively and interesting one, bringing us up to date with Arriva’s plans for cycling in the new franchise, outlining the new organisation in Sustrans and plans for a walking and cycling forum involving other train operators in the North and reporting on cycle-rail developments nationally. We are hoping for ideas and suggestions from Forum members about how some of these ideas should be taken forward. As usual, lunch will be provided at 12 noon and there will be an optional cycle ride afterwards to see cycle-rail developments in Manchester.
If you have not already done so, please let me know if you can come by email to: les.webb227@gmail.com I need to know numbers for catering.
