Leeds Art Gallery, The Headrow (LS1 3AA)

Supporting the 'Ride Bradford' event at Lister Park on Sat June 21st, we'll take the quickest route there (CS1), which is around 11 miles and stay awhile before returning to Leeds around 3:30pm along the canal (66). So, more of an intermediate 'Easy' Ride but mostly on the superhighway. We may stop for a break in Thornberry before heading to the park.

Provisionally meeting at the usual place outside Leeds Central Library, the ride will take us out to Seacroft to meet with people at the Secroft Active Travel Hub.

Here is the route I have worked out for Saturday's ride. It starts at the usual starting place at the Central Library with first stop at Denis Healy Centre. I have mapped a route back to Meanwood as the repair cafe might be of interest to others also. 

There will be a ride out to this years 'Let's Move: South Leeds' event at Cross Flatts Park in Beeston on Saturday (see https://fb.me/e/9ipaaRaI9 for details), setting off from the usual place at around 11:30am NOTE THE LATER TIME!! As the ride is intended to take people to the event, which starts at noon, the return leg is a bit shorter than usual.

This ride will take us from the city centre to Middleton Park and (most likely) the Leeds Urban Bike Park & Cafe. There's a steady but fairly gentle incline up Dewsbury Road to reach the Bike Park, but we'll take it easy! From there, it's downhill almost all the way along Belle Isle Road and into town. We should be back before 2:00pm

SLIGHT UPDATE!  An Urban Easy Ride (UER) from the city centre to the Middleton Railway via the. cafe at Cross Flatts park, where we'll stop for refreshment and then back via the riverside to Briggate. It's about 15 miles overall with a hill to negotiate just past Elland Road. Meet at the Leeds Art Gallery on The Headrow. The Middleton Railway is the world's oldest working railway line!
