Last week I attended a meeting a Lister Hill Baptist Church in Horsforth to discuss the problem of Scotland Lane. The meeting had been arranged by local resident and equestrian Carrie Emmerson. It was chaired by Cllr Dawn Collins and Nick Hunt from Leeds City Council's Highways Deaprtment was in attendance. The rest of the room was filled with 70+ folk who cared, and cared passionately, about the current sorry state of affairs.

Big news yesterday: the plans to put a contraflow cycle lane along Cookridge Street has finally been approved by Highways Board and the scheme looks likely to be built in the autumn!
You may have heard the news that Leeds was successful in its bid for a slice of the Cycle City Ambition funding: 18 million for a 23km Cycle Superhighway connecting Bradford and Leeds.
Since this now clashes with a fantastic FREE film night of cycling related films, hosted by UTravelActive and with Q&A from the film-makers, we're going to combine the two!
