Roundhay Park (old tram terminus)

RIDE CANCELLED DUE TO PREDICTED PRECIPITATION ONTO FROZEN SURFACES

(Due to the weather conditions, a short ride from Roundhay Park, fairly flat and avoiding muddy paths)

The ride will be one of the regular routes from Roundhay Park going out to the country lanes north of Leeds.  The actual route will be decided between the riders who are present at the start of the ride and may be influenced by the weather, if conditions are snowy or icy.

Allan will lead a ride through quiet urban roads and country lanes near Leeds to Golden Acre Park where a refreshment stop will be made before returning to Roundhay.

Gerri invites you to ride with her to visit Saltaire Vintage Show where a friend of hers runs a stall.

Excellent cakes available in Victoria Hall, Saltaire and there are a number of other catering establishments in Saltaire village.

Out bound route will be over the Chevin, Guiseley and down Hollins Hill return along the canal https://www.plotaroute.com/route/528559

The ride will follow the Wykeback Way to Halton Moor and then traverse the Pontefract Lane industrial estate before picking up the cycle track along side Pontefract before climbing up to Temple Newsam House for a well earned refreshment break (at the slightly expensive tea rooms).  The return is through Temple Moor before picking up the Wykebeck Way again on Primrose Valley Park.
