Roundhay Park (old tram terminus)

The ride will be along the Wykebeck Way to Primrose Valley, then through Halton Moor on to Temple Newsam Road.  Then we will pick up the Temple Newsam Cycleway across the golf course and through bluebell woods.  Probably then on towards the lakes in Temple Newsam park so we can see the rhododendrons which I thought looked particularily spectacular when I recc'd the route on Wednesday.  Refreshments stop will be the cafe at Temple Newsam and a return via Temple Moor, picking up the Wykebeck Way again in Primrose Valley.

Gerri will lead out along Wykebeck Valley to Foundry Lane then up to City Connect on A64 before joining country lane out to barwick in Elmet where we will stop for refreshments at Maypole Cafe.

The return will be via Scholes and Shadwell.

Keeping at a steady pace via Scarcroft, Bramham, Wetherby and Thorpe Arch to the Lemon Tree cafe in Tadcaster (20 miles). Back via Aberford, Barwick and finishing off up the Wykebeck Way back to Roundhay Park. Nearly all quiet roads or traffic free paths.  Some short hills.

Allan will lead a ride on one of our regular routes through Shadwell, Thorner and Scarcroft on country lanes north of Leeds.

Chris will lead a ride to Methley.  It will be at Easy Rider pace with plenty of stops but longer than an Easy Ride, a step up towards joining the intermediate rides on the 3rd Sunday of every month.
