This Sunday's ride will be to the Squires Cafe near Sherburn in Elmet. They are welcoming to cyclists as well as motorcyclists and provide a large menu to replenish your energy.
Ride starts at 9.00am at the City Square, secondary meeting point at 9.30am at Roundhay Park.
John will lead a long (50 mile) ride to York. Probably there will be a mid-morning cafe stop and then later a lunch stop, but e-mail us (longrides[at]leedscyclingcampaign.co.uk) to confirm if you wish.
If you have not cycled with this group before you will be made very welcome! No 'elite' cycling, bikes or clothing required! If you have a normal bike and can cycle reasonably steadily you should be fine. It's reasonably flat going to York.
Start - 9.00am, Leeds City Square. Second meeting point - Crossgates (by the Library/'gates' roundabout) at 9.30am.
Ride starts at 9am at the City Square. There will also be a pick up point at 9.30am approx at Moortown Co-op.
Ride will go out via Askwith Moor, Thruscross and Greenhow Hill to Stump Cross Caverns for lunch. Then we will head to Appletreewick via Skyreholme. After that it's home via Bolton Abbey, Ilkley and Burley.
Route is 60 miles from the City Square start, 55 miles from the secondary meeting point at Moortown Co-op.
Steven will lead an intermediate ride to Castleford and Normanton. Since this is an intermediate ride there will be just one refreshment stop for late morning snack/early lunch.
